Conservation Tasks

2017   CONSERVATION  &  MAINTENANCE

There will be a Volunteers Day every Wednesday in partnership with the Forestry Commission.  Tasks are subject to suitable weather and sufficient volunteers, so can be changed on the day.  Usually these tasks will be led by a Forestry Commission Ranger, but sometimes the teams may be led by FoCW trained volunteers.  First Volunteer Day for 2017 will be on Wednesday 4th January, last day is 22nd November, meet at 10 am at the Forest Classroom/Volunteer Room.  Follow the “RVP1” signs after going past the main car park.

Extra Volunteer event on Sunday 5th March – meet at the Main Car Park at 11 am to help with a Spring Clean.  This is a great chance to find out more about Volunteering and meet others.

All adults are welcome to come along and lend a hand.
For tasks please wear stout footwear, and suitable old clothing.
All training, tools and safety equipment are provided.
No experience necessary, just lots of enthusiasm.
If work is scheduled to last all day, then there will be a lunch break.
Bring a packed lunch if you are staying all day, tea and coffee is provided.
No need to book  –  just turn up.

GO ON!! Dave, you can do it!

Meet at the Forest Classroom at 10 am for a 10.15 am start for all Tasks unless otherwise indicated.   Most tasks will finish by 3.30 pm – if you have to leave earlier just let us know
If you have not been before, there will be a form to complete when attending your first session, this will be available on the day.
